About Amber

Amber has been working part-time with Fischer On Finance since 2009. Her role in marketing includes overseeing newsletter publications and workshops, planning client events, and helping out wherever needed. Amber likes details and logistics, so this job is a natural fit.

Amber grew up in southeastern Minnesota, and attended Luther College in Iowa where she graduated with an English major and an Education minor. Post-college, she volunteered for a year with Youth Encounter, a St. Paul non-profit, and traveled to churches around the southwest US, Peru and Bolivia. A highlight from her time in Bolivia was carrying a live chicken (her group’s soon-to-be-supper) by the legs for a mile until they got to their housing for the night.

When Amber isn’t working in Edina, you can find her in any number of schools around the metro working as a substitute teacher. She enjoys teaching any grade, K-12. To relax after work, Amber likes to garden, cook for friends, or challenge her husband Zac in MarioKart.
